to lay my head
on empty slab
of empty worn out
dreams
and float on fear
so lost in life
with frayed
unraveled seams
turn to face a wall
and be unheld
in nighttimes mare
to twist and turn
and shout out loud
in unbraced shaking
fear
in darkened mome
i lay me down
at times unyielding
way
and pray in gasping breaths
to see the light
of wounded
day
