unfinished business

ate the soup, ate the bread, washed the occasional dish. played with my boy, changed my clothes and focused my thoughts on the now. all the while, racing ahead, through endless possibilities in my mind. of rushing brooks and cabins in wood and lifetimes of raw sweet joy. stuck in the now, wanting the then, scared to death of them both, wishing to fuse them in unlikely tune
